Use of Event naming, batch comments, and comments on individual photos through easy-to-enter/easy-to-search metadata is imperative and no software I know of does it better than iPhoto. There are a total of over 63,800 photos in thousands of Events. Listing "left to right" names for people posing in photos, some of which you may not see for weeks, months or even years at a time, is very useful.ģ: My iPhoto library spans from September 1998 (before there even was iPhoto) through April 2017. This becomes a kind of "backdoor metadata" means to catalogue whole events.
